The highlight of YOUR year...

Edith Lovejoy Pierce
We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.
Tell us about a highlight of your year.

Traditions

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we have heard lots of fun stories about friends and family.  Tradition is a vocabulary word that is difficult for children to grasp. Post in this blog what your family traditions are. As we continue to talk about FUN with families we can reference your writing.

THE CHANGING COLORS

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
Albert Camus
TRUST, PEACE, MOOD, AND GROWTH ARE A FEW OF THE MEANINGS BEHIND COLORS. AS FALL APPROACHES FAST SO DOES THE CHANGING OF OUR TREES AND LEAVES. THE VARIETY OF COLORS WE USE DAILY IN OUR CLASSROOM IS OFTEN TIMES TALKED ABOUT TO DESCRIBE AN OBJECT. I CHALLENGE YOU TO THINK OF A COLOR AND DESCRIBE THE FEELING YOU HAVE WHEN YOU SEE IT OR EVEN WEAR IT.

Something to think about...

Listen, think, and then respond...You don't have to be a teacher to have a positive impact on children.

"Egg"stra Special!

https://picasaweb.google.com/101487501210333525744/March272013?authuser=0&feat=directlink We had a fabulous time doing spring activities, hunting down eggs (and candy),and coloring hard boiled eggs. Interestingly enough, we did not boil the eggs they were cooked in muffin tins in the oven...you can find the recipe on Pinterest. I want to thank everyone for having such wonderful children to share with us! We enjoy the successes and challenges that are brought every day. I have seen such growth in everyone. Miss Cayla, Miss Erin, Miss Jenn and I would like to hear about your spring break traditions...We always have an egg hunt at my home. Write and tell us about your traditions. Have a great break! Love, Everyone in Preschool
